You could complete Hell without any gear. Summoner is the easiest/safest build in the game. So my question here is, is my build OP? Or is the 'Normal' difficulty really low to begin with? If it's the second, I would Imagine that my sorceress difficulties 20 years ago were caused by a poor build, which I have no way to know now since my save files from back then are long lost. I am now further than I ever remember going back then. But now with the Necromancer I am able to progress through ACT IV very easily.

I am almost 100% sure that I also played on 'Normal' back then. The thing is, I played the original Diablo 2 (classic, without the expansion) with a sorceress about 20 years ago and I remember that I died plenty of times and that was part of the fun, until I got to Act IV, in which every time I advanced a little bit I was attacked by a horde that would force me to retreat, and I never finished the game because I got tired of hours of battles with almost no progress. Other than that mistake, the most difficult battle has been Mephisto, in which I lost more half of my minions and ended up using a town portal to get away and regroup, but once I returned the battle ended pretty quickly.

I am on Act IV at the moment, and I have only died once, in which by mistake I did not follow the 'stay away from the action' strategy correctly (all of my minions and my mercenary were doing pretty well). The whole game has been really fun and enjoyable, but it has always been me waiting for my minions and the mercenary to do their jobs while I stay away from the action (which is still very fun even if it makes the game quite easy), and battles tend to be really quick. I have been playing D2R on Switch with a Necromancer on Normal, following the 'summoner' build.

When there is no difficulty called 'Easy', and the lowest is called 'Normal', I still play 'Normal' as I assume that the developer had their reasons to not make an 'Easy' difficulty, rather than expecting 'Normal' to be the new 'Easy'. I tend to avoid both 'Easy' and 'Hard', since I want a good challenge but I don't like to be frustrated by the difficulty. So, I am a guy who tends to play games always on 'Normal' difficulty.
